TIMETABLE

Morning
After meeting at the Discovering Laos office for 9:00 am we set off on or cycling tour. We cycle through the morning, taking time to marvel at the beauty of the landscape, as we pass by rivers, mountains, and picturesque minority villages.

Afternoon
Spend time in a few minority villages, meeting the locals and learning about the Hmong, Lantan, Akha and Khmu cultures. Then make your way to the beautiful Pha Nguang waterfall for a delicious lunch time picnic. Fed and rested we begin cycling on a gradual ascent to Kiewlom pass, from the top of which are some stunning views across the Luang Namtha region. From there it is a fast and thrilling ride down the slope to the Muang Sing valley, where we visit That Xieng Tueng, a most sacred Buddhist stupa with sensational panoramic views.

*If you have chosen the 1 Day Tour it will end here after a walk around the Muang Sing city centre.

Evening
A chance to get acquainted with Muang Sing city center. Explore the area at your leisure by bicycle or on foot, before enjoying dinner at one of the many authentic Lao restaurants. Later in the evening, relax with a drink and socialize with the locals before sleeping at a local guesthouse.

DAY 2

TIMETABLE

Morning
With an early 6:00 am start, we head to the morning market where you will experience a feast for the senses, as the local ethnic minorities display a cornucopia of products for sale. After leaving the market we stop for a tasty Lao breakfast, before setting off around 8:30 am on a sightseeing tour of the city.

Afternoon
After spending some time at Akha, Tai Lue and Yao villages, we stop for lunch. Spending the afternoon exploring the surrounding areas of Luang Sing before heading back to the city centre.

*If you have chosen the 2 day tour then this is the end of the tour. We return to the Discovering Laos office aboard a tuk-tuk.

Evening
Another relaxing or entertaining evening in Muang Sing where you decide what we do!

DAY 3
CYCLING

TIMETABLE

Morning
Wake up around 8:00 am to a delicious Lao-style breakfast.
Today we have two options:

A) Off-road cycling, with visits to remote Akha villages or,
B) Cycling the main highways on a course heading back to
Luang Namtha.

Afternoon
Depending on the option taken we have lunch at a traditional Lao restaurant. Shortly after lunch the cycling tour ends when we arrive back at the Discovering Laos office in Luang Namtha. However, should you have chosen option A, a tuk-tuk will have been arranged to transport us back to Luang Namtha.Note: The program is different if you choose either the 1, 2 or 3 days option, each tour is customised. For 2-day Cycling Tour to Muang Sing, the price ranges from $81/person (USD) for 8+ Pax to $241/person (USD) for 1 Pax.

For 3-day Cycling Tour to Muang Sing, the price ranges from $129/person (USD) for 8+ Pax to $376/person (USD) for 1 Pax.
